Lash extensions give eyes a lift with longer, curlier and fuller looking eyelashes. Achieve a feminine and wide-eyed look with minimal makeup. Eyelash extensions are perfect for someone looking to reduce maintenance and spend less time on their makeup regimen.

Spring is a favorite time to have eyelashes enhanced with extensions. Typically, less makeup is applied in the Summer months and more time is spent outdoors and possibly (hopefully!) around water. Having eyelash extensions allows for less makeup application while still sporting a wide-eyed look. Get yourself on the go faster during the busy summer months and worry little about looking your best jumping in and out of lake and pool water! False eyelash extensions are a great alternative to waterproof mascara.

Tips to Prolong the Life Of your Eyelash Extensions

Avoid Water and Steam for the First 48 Hours

This is top piece of advice to preserving your lashes. Give your lash extensions the time they need to properly set!

Comb Them Regularly

Brushing your eyelashes with a clean spoolie will keep them from crisscrossing and getting tangled.

Always Use Oil-Free Makeup Remover

While washing your eyes, try to use a mild, low-alkaline soap and an oil-free makeup remover.

Be Gentle When Cleaning

Clean your eyes by soaking a cotton bud (not a cotton ball. Use a tightly woven cotton tip to avoid getting cotton fibers stuck on lash extensions) with water-based remover and gently work to remove eye shadow and to cleanse your lashes.

Don’t Use Mascara

Yay! A major perk to getting eyelash extensions is looking fabulous without makeup! Save time on your makeup regime and avoid mascara altogether. If you apply and remove mascara, it will lessen the life of your lash extensions. Mascara contains oils and it will melt the glue and loosen the hold.

Easy on the Eyeliner Too

You’ll want to keep the lash extensions clean and free of gunk to prolong their time spent on your lashes.

Don’t Play With Them!

If an extension looks out of place, let it be. You’ll risk loosing your natural lashes if you pull or twist your eyelash extensions.

Blow Dry With Cool Air

You can use a blow dryer on a cool setting to fan your lashes back into place. Start with just 10 seconds per eye.

Sleep On Your Back

Try to sleep as much on your back as possible to avoid crushing or making your lash extensions go out of place. Sleeping with your face pushed into your pillow may cause your extensions to fall out more quickly.
